Leadership Group at Innovation Forum on Managing Human Rights Risk

IKEA's Simon Henzell Thomas, a member of the Leadership Group for Responsible Recruitment, joined a panel on 24 October 2017 in London at the Innovation Forum on Managing Human Rights Risk. Thomas discussed strategies for pitching to a company Board in terms of what slavery and forced labour mean for any company and what should be done about it. IKEA see migrant workers in their supply chains as a key priority and are developing a number of innovative programmes around responsible recruitment.
IHRB's Neill Wilkins, another member of the Leadership Group, joined a later panel discussing migrants in Turkey and the role of the private sector in preventing endemic exploitation from taking hold.
