Migrant worker-responsive human rights due diligence
Join our side session “Migrant Worker-Responsive Human Rights on Due Diligence” on 25 February 2022, at the 8th OECD Forum on Due Diligence in the Garment and Footwear Sector.
While increased vulnerability of migrant workers to labour exploitation is a well-known fact, guidance on how garment and footwear companies can adapt their human rights due diligence (HRDD) practices so that they respond to risks facing migrants is insufficient.
Jointly organized with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), this session brings together policymakers, development actors, and the private sector to share their experience on how to implement due diligence, including with the use of innovative technologies, that are responsive to migrants, especially women.
