Expertise
Sam has 12 years of experience leading communications for social enterprises and INGOs. Sam has expertise in strategic communications, media and crisis communications, editorial and content, and digital strategy. Sam’s work to date has focused on amplifying the voices of people and communities leading social change.
Current Work
As IHRB’s communications lead, Sam works with a small and impactful team on strategy and planning, editorial and content, media liaison, and digital projects. Sam supports IHRB to use its voice to make sure human rights is part of everyday business.
Before IHRB
For seven years Sam worked at Restless Development, a global youth organisation. Sam worked with a network of young people to communicate and campaign about issues such as the climate crisis and civil rights.
Sam previously delivered communications for Social Enterprise UK, the UK’s national body for social enterprises - businesses with a social or environmental mission. Sam’s focus was to build support for the UK’s growing number of social enterprises through political and consumer campaigns.
Sam is a photographer, specialising in photography of people and communities involved in social and voluntary causes, as well as weddings and other social and cultural events.
