Davos 2025: Mapping Solutions for: Ending Forced Labour
22 January 2025
IHRB’s CEO John Morrison delivers a presentation at the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in Davos on how data can be harnessed to help end forced labour, which continues to affect 28 million people worldwide.
John unpacks emerging datasets on forced labour using the Global Situation Space mapping - a combination of NASA time-lapse satellite imagery and geospatial and econometric data with predictive modelling. John’s presentation provides critical insights into the scope of forced labour in different countries, regions and migration corridors.
Speaking alongside former British Prime Minister Theresa May, this session assesses the strengths and limitations of current data, identifies areas of progress and ongoing gaps, and recommends how leaders can leverage data to drive meaningful, systemic change to eradicate forced labour from supply chains.
