OECD national contact points and the ICT sector - fourth annual meeting

The UK National Contact Point (NCP) hosted a workshop facilitated by IHRB in July 2015 to share experiences and ideas about the role of “Human Rights within the ICT Sector and its relevance to the OECD Guidelines on MNEs”.

The workshop panels discussed:

• An Overview of Key Developments on Human Rights and the ICT Sector relevant to the Application of the OECD Guidelines on MNE
• Lessons learned on the application of the OECD Guidelines in the ICT Sector
• Guidance for NCPs, Businesses and Civil Society on the Responsibility to Respect Human Rights in the ICT Sector

This workshop followed on from the 2012, 2013 & 2014 London workshops, attended by many NCPs, companies, NGOs and trade union representatives.
